The recent events at the purported polygamist compound in Texas has increased people to ask us - Do you practice plural marrages? The answer is no. We do not teach or practice plural marriage (Polygamy). We believe that marriage is the lawful sexual domestic relationship between one adult man and one adult woman. We do not believe in having child brides (wives under the age of consent). Groups promoting young brides have two options. First, they can move to different states or countries where the age of consent is below 18. Secondly, they can force the states through legislation and litigation to lower the age of consent to 16. The Bible requires mature women to teach girls how to practice the domestic arts (Titus 2). Once the girls have learned their lessons and they have reached the legal age for marriage then they should get married.
