THE HOLY BIBLE: THE AUTHORIZED TARISH NEPHITE VERSION

The 11th article of the Articles of Faith of the Nephite Church of Christ states that we believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated and compiled correctly. Some versions of the Bible have uninspired but otherwise worthy books. Some versions contain the heresies of false teachers such as Saul of Tarsus – the false apostle. His false writings and influences caused the Great Apostasy. Other versions contain inspired books which are no longer needed for purposes of either salvation,, exaltation, or church government. The Authorized Tarish Nephite Version of the Holy Bible is the only properly compiled and translated version of the Bible. It contains the laws, wisdom, and gospel message which are needed for salvation, exaltation, and church government. It is for this reason that The Authorized Tarish Nephite Version of the Holy Bible is the official version of the Bible used by the Nephite Church of Christ.

The Texas Polygamy Compund

The recent events at the purported polygamist compound in Texas has increased people to ask us - Do you practice plural marrages? The answer is no. We do not teach or practice plural marriage (Polygamy). We believe that marriage is the lawful sexual domestic relationship between one adult man and one adult woman. We do not believe in having child brides (wives under the age of consent). Groups promoting young brides have two options. First, they can move to different states or countries where the age of consent is below 18. Secondly, they can force the states through legislation and litigation to lower the age of consent to 16. The Bible requires mature women to teach girls how to practice the domestic arts (Titus 2). Once the girls have learned their lessons and they have reached the legal age for marriage then they should get married.

Our church has tied the Nephite Gospel (aka Book of Mormon) with the Tarish Catholic Priesthood to form the only church which has a licit, valid, and complete priesthood as well as the restored gospel of Jesus Christ.
